RE-NEW SURFACE applicator training

To become a RE-NEW SURFACE applicator training is a must. On site training is a minimun of 5 working days.

This includes preperation, pricing and establishing local supplies for sand and cement.

TRAINING

Two weeks notice is required for on-site training, which will be arranged after delivery of the products.

First Day

  • Assure all materials are on site (cement, silica sand)
  • Choice of Portland cement type 10 or 30
  • Locate and evaluate repair areas
  • Basic Training coverage, etc.

Second Day

  • Onsite training, mixing RE-NEW Crystals
  • Mixing Silica sand and cement, surface preparation
  • Training and repairing broken curbs
  • Eliminating trip hazards
  • Broom finishing, and edging

Third Day

  • Onsite training, mixing special mix for specific surface conditions.
  • Cutting expansion joint

Mixture using Crystals only apply. (Mix on site)

One bag of 88 lb. of Portland cement with two 100 lb. bags of silica sand (one 20/30 and one 40/60) mixed with RE-NEW Crystals (add to the load) will cover an average of 250 to 400 sq.ft. depending on the surface condition. This is referred to as one load or one batch.

Three men crew, mixing eight batches should cover an average of 2000 sq.ft. of spalled sidewalk surface in an eight-hour shift. (24 man hours of work)

Note:

  • Cracks are not guaranteed and must be repaired (stitched) before being covered over.
  • Three weeks notice must be given for training
  • When driving RE-NEW has all tools and equipment except for mortar mixer, water supply and hoses, wheelbarrows, shovels and barricades.

Training is provided for all types of concrete repairs such as:

Sidewalk resurfacing, snowplow damage and curb repairs. Steps, multi-level parkades, bridge overlays and sides, over passes, decks, patios, crack repairs, concrete water seepage, water tanks, swimming pools, and decks. (All overlays are salt-resistant.)
